One tip a lot of people don't know about: Regardless of the system you choose, to boost visibility you will want to install infrared floodlights. The difference is huge. Nothing worse than opening the wallet and installing a system just to have a night mode that leaves a lot unseen. Results with an IR boost from a flood light will be worth the extra up front cost and God forbid you ever need to review footage you'll be thankful you don't have a grainy mess.

Nice find Larry, ł just found a vacuum sealed grind pack today that was lost in my freezer. Thawing it out for lunch tomorrow, will press it in to some burgers. ł split my grind, half is plain venison and the other half ł mix bacon in just for burgers. Works great!

Had a great time and the wings were great even if you can't get all flats. Nice to put names to faces.
-
Damn.

ł am ordering all flats, most places up charge 50 cents to a dollar on 10 wings but what can you do.
-
My setup is very similar and it came in under 100 dollars.

ł just fished the power cord through the corner of the wardrobe and let it run inside, accomplished the same thing in a hurry. ł will be using a flex pipe moving forward, my setup was last minute for a dry wash before my last day in the woods for the 2018 season. ł can't see spending the $ on the name brand when you can accomplish the same thing while saving money.

"Coyote Juice" - Wildlife Research.

Noted. The "Blind" ł'm considering is an old cabin on my property. It' safe just doesn't get much use. ł am fairly confident the clearing alongside it will be easy to see across with a little moonlight. It's a narrow field 25 to 40 yard in any direction from where ł would set up is woods. Is that trying to get them too close? -

Only shiny surfaces will be glasses and scope, nothing ł can do about those. What if ł set up in a blind with everything shut except one window looking downwind? -

ł plan on doing a lot of reading to better understand them moving forward. ł plan on setting up on the edge of a clearing, opposite some hardwoods, my camera has been catching them in this area a bit recently. My thoughts were to put out some venison scraps about 3'-5' from the edge in the field and use the call to try and get them in the area. ł'm hoping they circle around down wind and come through the hardwoods to check on the sound and begin to eat the scraps on the edge of the woods. There are a lot of variables but if ł play the wind right and cover my scent does this seem like a good approach? -

ICOtec 500 with the PD400 It has fur and a wood pecker looking one. -
Success, tips or is it worth giving a try? ł have a call and decoy setup in an online cart, coyote numbers in my hunting area have convinced me to give predator hunting a try. This popped up as a recommended item and ł am looking for input from anyone that has used it before.

Maybe plain water and a fresh cut would be best at your house, shouldn't give the tree your lucky juice. Gotta keep the wife happy.

Sprite with a splash of cheap vodka.

Region 3 would be a 6+ hour drive for me, would have to be a weekend after the holidays for sure. Kind of a far way to go for a beer, besides the real chicken wings are this side of the finger lakes...

What are your Land projects for 2019

ł have about an acre on a ledge backed up to a very steep incline ł would like to clear cut. Nothing of value to wildlife in this little chunk. All timber that ł cut will make its way to my woodrack. Plan is to replant the entire section with a handful of White Oak, Red Oak, Dunstan CN and Persimmons. This is in the "center" of my property and sees a good amount of travel from Deer, Turkey and Grouse. There are trails on all four sides of the acre section which ł will plant a clover mix on, my plan is to break up the rectangular area (Approx 150'x300') in to a grid with 18 50'x50' sections. Each 50'x50' grid squares will get a mast bearing tree, this should allow plenty of room to grow and ample sunlight. Attached picture shows topography, red lines are my property border, purple lines are deer travel routes, green is the acre ł plan on clearing and the orange is an area full of crab apple trees they like to bed in. This is planning for the long haul, clearly ł won't see a difference immediately but by the time ł have kids and they're old enough to hunt this honeyhole will be mature enough to be appreciated by them and future generations. -

We live in a slap the wrist and pass more laws country now-a-days. The fine is not nearly enough punishment for what took place. We were all young and dumb but it takes a special kind of idiot to do that. Sounds more like a "Thrill Kill" than anything else to me, very troubling.
