    I have only ever seen one copperhead. That was down on the little beaverkill while fly fishing . At the time I wasn't sure what I was looking at . I was sitting on a large boulder changing flies when he slithered acrossed the same rock I was sitting on. And down into the water. I remember climbing out of there through rocks and knee high ferns. Used a 4 foot stick to clear my way ahead .

    Summer time on the chemung river . Day after a good rain .. pushed the water up a good bit. Water was clearing . Area referred to as Frenchmans flats.

    Have seen them in the woods on top of hills .. sunning them selves on rocks in river bottoms . Had one try to climb in my canoe many years ago.

    Have seen them in Chemung county and Steuben county usually May through September . Length of rattles .... depends on how close I get sometimes I'm rattled for days after an encounter. Only good snake is a dead snake.

    Out of the woods at 11 No deer . Only had 9 pics on trail cam . Same doe and 2 fawns . Had 6 long beards walk by this morning and a ton of squirrels. I'm home cooking off 15blbs of summer sausage. May run up to SIL for afternoon sit.

    480 is getting 291cast hollow point. 308 is federal fusions 160 grn. Super black hawk 44 hunter is 300 grn hornaday xtp. 41mag is 210grn hornaday xtp 357 max is hornaday ftx.

    24 hours of a christmas story ... greatest legal way to torture your kids .... I would turn it on and leave it on .. driving the kids into their bedrooms for peace and quiet.

    I'm sure if you wanted a shoulder mount somebody would donate a Cape . There is alot of deer hitting the ground this weekend ... just putting it out there.

    I have seen the.condition some of the deer going into them shops . Have watched them run deer after deer through the saws and grinders . Makes me sick to think of eating the meat . I have always butchered my own . I may not be a professional meat cutter but I did stay at a holiday inn Express once.

    I'm still in this group . I have had opportunities on small bucks and yearling does. I'm off Friday through Sunday ... maybe I will get lucky . First 2 days my woods were pretty dead . Working this week

    Swift premier rifles scope is a good scope for the money and there customer service is top notch.

    Calling for East north east wind for the morning . That's what the weather app is calling for in 8y. What the heck is that about. Seems last 2 years we have had alot of east winds during deer season . I might be on the ground tomorrow. My only east wind stand has been attacked by squirrels. All my straps have been chewed off . Only thing holding it in the tree is a cable lock.

    The mechanics are there just dont let it into your head . The gun will do its thing you just need to breath ... steady and squeeze slow . Aim small hit small.. don't look at the deer ... look for that single hair. That little crease behind the shoulder ... dot the I . You got this with all the range time .
