fasteddie
My oldest son is quite strong and lifts a lot of heavy stuff that he should get help on . Anyway , he was lifting an 8' pallet that was wet . He said that when he went to lift it that his body moved but his arm felt like it stretched his right bicep / arm and now it looks different than his left . Might it be a torn tendon ? I think he is going to make a doctor's appointment in the morning . Wondering if anyone else has experienced this type of injury and what it might be . Early
Could be trauma to the biceps tendon...could be an elbow hyperextension injury. Best advice: Ice the hell out of it and see a doc ASAP!

Deerthug
Definitely sounds like a torn bicep. Especially if the arm looks different from the other. I've seen it on past clients.
wooly
Never had it happen to me, but I did see something very similar happen on an episode of Popeye... He simply ate a can of spinach and his muscles popped back out,lol Tell him to try that!
biggamefish
My friends father was a moose same kinda thing he would pick things up when they were way to heavy for just him. He finally ripped his bicep muscle off of the connection. It wasn't the tendon but the actual muscle that tore away.
virgil
It does sound like a biceps tendon injury- if there is pain/swelling, weakness in elbow flexion, and if the biceps muscle is retracted upward toward the shoulder. Don't wait- see a doctor (an orthopedist).
phade
Torn bicep is NO fun at all. Takes quite a while to get right...
fasteddie
Well , the doctor told my son that he has a torn bicep ........Give it a rest for 7-10 days and have it checked again . He's a workoholic and will probably go nuts not being able to do projects .
