It cost me 10 bucks this morning, but still kinda cool..
deerpassion
congrats... very cool, but can be costly lol... ever since I bought the carbon express maxima hunter's last year i've done it twice... and at $80+ dollars a pop for a six pack I don't even dare shoot at the same circle anymore

fasteddie
After shooting 3 Robin Hoods , I decided it was time to shoot separate spots . Too costly otherwise . Sometimes I will shoot 2-3 old .arrows at the same spot .

Doc
My condolences on the loss of some very expensive equipment ..... lol. Yes, we all want one to hang up in the den or wherever. So now you got yours and now it is time to start shooting at different spots for each arrow. It took me a while before I caught on to the expense of those things. I was up to 7 of them when I started pulling them apart to try to salvage components. At that point I realized that I couldn't keep shooting 4 or 5 arrow groups without sacrificing a lot of money. I also realized that my robin hoods were primarily a function of luck. Since I never called one before it happened, it was obvious that I could not make it happen on demand. After all, I am not a Byron Ferguson or a Howard Hill. That would be impressive if I could announce that I was going to purposly execute a robin hood on the next arrow .... lol. Anyway, all my practice targets have 4 bullseyes on them and are meant to have one arrow - one bullseye. If I get a robin hood now it will be because I have missed very badly. crappyice
Here's one for consideration...does it count as a robin hood if you shoot your arrow into someone else's bullseye. I just recently shot a 3D course in Westchester. It was my first time on such a course. I was shooting with two other people at the same targets so naturally there are arrows in the target prior to some of my shots. I would think that's a RH for the second shooter, leaving shooter#1 down an arrow at the good fortune of someone else. 1/2 price robin hood! fasteddie
If the Robin Hood is out of the Bullseye , does it count as 2 bad shots ?
sweet old bill
Over the years I have had several . Easton arrow said for this feat to occur you could do and they had a list of 50 things a archer may do that would get you a robin hood, some of the itmes were good form, or a badform and if you get the right things occuring both good and bad then a robin hood would occur.. .but they also said in small print the average was over 50,000 shots to have one....so do not plan on another one next week.. But you now have the first one, I kept my robin hood arrows in the archery shop on the wall. You now are robin hood pro.....keep shooting
