Does anyone subscribe to this magazine ? Is it any good ?

What about New York Fish & Game magazine ?

NY Conservationist is very mediocre. I got it for a while ( 3 years ago) it had very little on hunting.

I have been a long time subscriber. It is not a hunting magazine, it is about NY outdoors: anything from focuses on particular outdoor areas, to wildlife, influential outdoor people, the environment, etc. for the very low annual price, I think it is worth it, and my sister gets an annual subscription for xmas that she loves.

I'm in the publishing business and this magazine has good layout,great photos and the stories are excellent. It is not a hunting magazine but a tool to pass along the past, present and future outdoor experiences in N.Y.S. I make sure I pass it along to member of our younger generation. I get a subscription buying a legacy license.

  new york fish and game is good magazine.  In the back they still have all the fur prices for trappers and have some good articles on hunting.  One of the magazines I would get if I subscribed t mags.

I have subscribed to the Conservationist off and on for years.  It is what it is......

NY Outdoor news is pretty darn good.  Where else are you going to get good updates on state and local issues every two weeks?  Money well spent IMO.

If a guy was looking for some good and  reasonably reading, the Pennsylvania Game News is highly recommended.  (and no advertising crapola)  ;D

I agree wit Dave & Burt. New York Conservationist is an excellent Outdoors magazine. It is not a "Hook & Bullet" magazine, and I think in it's own right, that is refreshing!
