Single_shot
Figured I better start my own thread instead of putting anymore in WNY's thread. Very close to being done with it. Waiting on a cheek riser/stock adapter and a sling loop in the mail. The laser and illuminated scope work flawlessly.I am very happy with the AFG2 instead of the standard verticle foregrip.I chose a single point tactical sling that will attach to the folding stock.More pics when the rest get here. sits in trees
i just love the AKs, so simple, so reliable. if your running thru a field and you drop your AR-15 into a mud puddle you have to take it apart and clean it... Your can clean your AK47 in a Mud Puddle!

Single_shot
Nice!... is that a Saiga? This is a Hungarian AMD-65...originally issued/used by tankers and those who jump from a normally working airplane. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMD_65 Just recieved an email that my other parts are shipped! Been waiting a long time to complete this thing...can't wait to fire it up.

WNYBuckHunter
Looks good! You like that AFG better than a regular? I keep hearin g the opposite. Still have to get one for my AR.
Single_shot
Looks good! You like that AFG better than a regular? I keep hearin g the opposite. Still have to get one for my AR. With the way I hold it,and the placement of the laser remote switch,it is just the correct grip for the situation. When I had the vertical grip on,it was just not comfortable for me.The AFG2 is just right. wooffer
How do like that magpull foregrip. I've seen them but never held one.
Single_shot
I want an AK.... Closest I have for now is an SKS. I had an SKS (Chinese) and it was nice, but traded it in for the AK platform. How do like that magpull foregrip. I've seen them but never held one. I was a little leary at first, but really like it now that it's all together, much more comfortable,a more natural grip angle IMO.
Single_shot
The rest of the parts came, the cheek riser and sling loop. I need to file a few thousandths off the front of the dust cover for a proper fit,but it will fit better than original when done. I may have it camo dipped this winter if I come into extra funds for some reason, but if not,I know alot of guys that did their own camo jobs that really came out well. It's difficult to take a good shot of the scope but you dont get the big glow when using your eyes, just the P4 hairs light up. I need to dial in the scope at 25yrds and then dial in the laser to the shot group. Then I wont need the scope? Makes sense huh? Pygmy
That should keep the riff-raff off the lawn...<<grin>>... Being old school, I'll just stick with my S/W combat magnum .357 for "inside the parlor" work, my 12 gauge 11-87 with 00 Buck for general stuff, and my M1 Garand for longer range encounters...
