G-Man
either late born last year or early born this year, i shot what a thought was a doe with 2 fawns, turned out to be a 103lbs dressed button buck which weighed 2 lbs more than my friends 10in spike killed the day before at 101 dressed
Doewhacker
Late born yearling buck? I had one come by last year that just had 2 polished nubs for antlers. Thats my vote too, I also saw one last year, I was confused until the topic came up here last year and then the light bulb went on.
landtracdeerhunter
Vote for an early born this year. We always have a few born in April. We have a buck fawn born early this year that's approaching 70 lbs. now. I agree, your protein is sure helping.
growalot
I'm thinking what you said...and I've zoomed and zoomed the pic...because we had a racked doe here a couple of years ago...I'd mentioned it...any ways my first thought was it was her with a hormone correction...is that even possible? mxsmitz201
i have a button buck this year that i know was born this year on time maybe even a little early, he has a twin sister. but hes got nubs just like yours and is rapidly approaching the size of the does hes with to the point it makes it difficult to figure out who is who. knowing that i would say hes an early born deer. i would think he would get confused as a year and half if he was a late born deer from last summer. growalot
I pulled these today...cut corn has them in day time loving the turnips and Hog radish..but I think the deer from above is in this pic...do you see the bumps in front of this mornings deer..how old does it look to you in this day time close up? Could it be that racked doe I mentioned with out a rack?
