browningchick23
Hello All, My name is Amanda and I'm right up next to the St. Lawrence in the 1000 Islands. Been hunting since I was about 5 years old (with dad obviously) got my first buck by myself at 20. I shoot with a .30-30 Winchester Model 94 and I also hunt black powder. Right now I'm almost 7 months pregnant and still out in the woods every chance I get. Not realy happy about having to hunt on the ground this year as I'm a tree stand person...but hunting on the ground is much better than no hunting at all! Talk to you on the forums! Culvercreek hunt club
Welcome to the site Amanda. Congratulations on bring up the next generation of hunters..lol. Blind hunting is great. It can offer cover for movement and even offer additional comfort (Things you may find worth having) I enjoy gung hunting from blinds as long as I have good visibility. It really pays in the rain. I have 3 box blinds and 2 blinds that are used during gun season. We only have 3 treestands on that property. Getting up high actually limits or visibillity in many areas of the land. Good luck and if you aren't out there you won't get them.
browningchick23
Where I hunt is set up more for a tree stand. If it was on the edge of a field or something, that would be different. :-/

Please be careful out there this year, you might be carrying the next Jim Shockey! lol You will have some great stories telling your child you were hunting 7 months pregnant. Hope you shoot a big one!

browningchick23
Thanks all. Going to take a break for a few days from hunting. Unfortunatley, baby is telling me to relax for a day or two. Hubby will probably hunt tonight and tomorrow.
