So God made a liberal

Recommended Posts

Americans seem to need a boogey man: For conservatives...that's a liberal; For liberals...a conservative. Gives each someone to bitch about...someone to blame (or shift blame from themselves). Just think: Bush was a conservative...Obama is a liberal; Yet, they govern the same: screw the people, pad the pockets of the rich, wage war to enrich the profiteers, etc., etc. Makes me wonder: Is there such a thing as an absolute liberal?...or an absolute conservative? I hope not!

Just becasue one calls themselves something does not make it so. I can agree that Obama is a Liberal, but Bush was no conservative. I honestly believe some of our past Democrats were more conservative that he was. I really don't care about tags and I wish we could get some candidates that really had "the peoples'"as a whole best intersted at heart. Realli is sad the choices we have. (or no choices I guess)

Ha-ha .... Bush a conservative? ..... Yeah, like Pataki was a Conservative. The best I can say for either one is that they were moderates. A politician can be classified by the sum total of his politics. Bush never measured up as a conservative or even right of center.

I will admit that Obama may have actually had a temporary conservative idea sometime during his life. But if he did, he never made it public. That is a man that is left of those candidates registered as socialists. That is not exaggeration.

Ahhh...You guys prove my point: You CREATE your own boogey men...using your own definitions. Interesting that you should know so well, just exactly what Bush was, or Obama is. It is surprising that with your superior intellect and insight that you are not running the country.

No need to look under your bed...just look in the mirror!

I don't know about boogeymen, I haven't thought about such things since I was a very small child. Are you still plagued by such things? ....... oh that's too bad.

Well anyway, maybe someday you too will learn how to identify idealogies when you see them. All it takes is just paying attention a little bit. Try it.

You seem to have no problem creating boogey men when it comes to religion.

Of course, the very foundation of most religions is "boogey men". (Really now...tell me that the funny hats and gowns don't suggest "boogey men") I readily admit to being anti-religion. In formal religion, I see too much hate...too much fear...too much greed...too much mumbo-jumbo...way, way too much that I could no way in hell believe in...too much that makes no rational sense. Why is it that some of you are so testy when it comes to religion. If I challenge your beliefs....so what? Why let me threaten your belief system? Could there be some doubts in the back of your mind? I mean no harm when I speak of religion...I mean no offense. So...Take no offense, where none is intended!

A guy once accused me of being a Democrat. I protested that I certainly was not. He then accused me of being a Presbyterian. Again, I said, "No way!" So, he asked, "Well, what are you?" I answered, "I'm not sure!"

I have no axe to grind with anyone's opinion on religion. I only wonder what it is that makes some feel threatened by it or inclined to attack it. I always have to ask why some feel required to attack the beliefs of others. What is the kick they get out of it? I'll probably never figure that out.

Why is it that when Liberals get offended they have no other path to take but throw Bush's name in? Is there no other defense for your masia other then Bush? Its old, worn out and just a very lame excuse at best. Get over it we are on term 2 with Obama just in case you Libs dont realize this yet.

Wait...You can attack the idealogical views of others that are not related to religion, but attacks on religion are not okay?? Explain, please...

Well I think religion is a lot more personal than politics. So the only reason that I can see for attacking someones religion is some kind of desire to launch a personal attack. Why would anyone want to do that as an out-of-the-blue random act of maliciousness. It doesn't make any sense to me.

And also, what others believe in when it comes to religion has absolutely no effect on me (with the possible exception of extreme Islamic variations which really are more political than religious). Political stupidity on the other hand, does have a direct effect on me and my way of life. With this latest gun law fiasco as an example.

Ants....You are insecure, are you not? Just because someone throws down a glove doesn't mean you must pick it up. Relax, bro...............

Pointing out a liberals ridiculous, childish hypocrisy and out and out hatred towards something = insecure. Got it ! ...LOL!! Funny funny little person.!!

No one can answer my question?

The "Bush excuse" is a catch all and an easy crutch. They will never let it go. Listen to any lib, when they are questioned about the economy, the war, what ever...with in 10 seconds they will bring up Bush. It's just the way it is.
