Fish Guts

Today is garbage day. I rolled the tote out to the curb and was almost overcome by the stench.

Now I remember our old trick, put the fish guts/parts in the freezer until garbage day............

Anyone need any maggots???????

Same thing happened to me Monday night when I took the can to the curb. I almost yorked. Only the stench was from a dead squirrel I found in the yard Saturday morning. I double bagged it but it didn't help much. I should have buried it.

+1 on fish guts in the freezer till trash day.

My fish cleanings go in a 5 gallon bucket to be deposited at a culvert on a  friend's property, about a mile from the nearest house. The resident coons love me, and the cleanings are usually gone by the next day..

Chicken scraps, fat, meat trimmings, etc  go on the ground next to my utility shed..My semi-pet crows clean them up promptly. There's one  out there right now gobbling down the trimmings from last night's Delmonico.. Probably the best fed crows in town.
