The swimmin hole....

We used to swim in the local creek across the road. When we got finished, we would get busy pulling all the blood-suckers off out feet and legs. That would absolutely gross me out today, but back then we didn't think anything about it.

By the way, that picture looks like there should be some good fishing there.

Any crocs? Gators? Snappers? Raw sewage runoff?

Looks too peacefull to not have some kind of unknown risk involved.

Is that a working rail line?

no its a working 4 weeler trail/retired rail line

Holy crap Doc. Leeches!!! You just freaked me out. I was never right with that thought after watching one of my favorite movies of all time as a kid, "The African Queen"......."at a girl Rosie!"

Yup, the mud bottom of the crick was full of them. But back then we never thought much about it .... Just pull them off and then head home ..... lol. Yeah, today it would be a traumatic event.

That brings back a lot of great memories...Our's was called the "secret pond" and it was off and abandoned rail road trestle near Abby land in Piffard...all us kids would walk two miles to get to it....

I think I know that spot lol. Good 'ol Piffard.... blink and you miss it.
