ADK Buck

My cousin lives up in the Adirondacks and has had this buck bedding in her yard all summer. She has taken some awesome photos. Notice he has started to shed his summer coat in the last series of pictures.

I have seen even bigger bucks than that up in the Old Forge area. The deer get use to the tourists, who feed them. The deer come right out to the road and wait to be fed. It got to the point where  a lot deer were getting hit and killed by cars, because they stood in the road waiting to be fed. They finally had to pass a law against feeding deer in that area.

I believe it is still illegal to feed them in NY State.
