Deer and Cows

We are hunting a cattle farm and I'm having a hard time distinguishing deer trails and cattle trails in some areas. I know that sounds stupid but does anyone have experience hunting deer around cattle? What do you guys look for? Not that we aren't seeing deer.

I'm sure they are sharing trails, it's hard to find a deer track mixed in with the cow tracks though. Will a deer bed in an area that the cows have access too or use regularly?

Yes they will. A couple of weeks ago, I was out scouting with another guy. We had to walk past a cow pasture to get where we were going. We bumped 6 does that were bedded within 20 feet of a group of cows.

I hunt a working farm deer an cows an horses share the same pasture, trails and fields.

I have been hunting a cattle farm for over 30 years, and I don't know how many times I have seen deer using cow trails,

The farm I hunt got rid of their cows a few years back.however I have maybe 20years hunting parts of it that had cows.

The little creek bed we called it, the cows wandered all over it and some of the best bucks I've seen there were in that cow pasture/ creek bottom .

Heck, deer use my driveway and quad trails. They don't care. They are all about looking for the easy way to travel from one spot to another. A cow path provides that very well.

I've seen some adverse reactions from deer with cows around. If cows are immediately around the spot, then deer seem to use it.

 

I've hunted a few cattle farm pasture edges, and when cows move in, the deer never showed up. After they leave, do doubt.
