half our before "shooting light" for me. that's not dec light. you shouldn't make any more noise in the dark then the light. get a good headlamp.

1hr for me. Hour and a half if it's a stand that's a long walk. But my bow stands are mostly pretty close so 1hr before shooting light for me. A good headlamp certainly helps

Half hour before sunrise but I have a short walk to my primary stand.

Changes with the sunrise time (actual not DEC) but right now I'm in the stand at 6 if hunting in the morning.

i like to be sitting a good hour before legal light at the latest.

depend if it's public or private land.

 

public land  = 1 to 2 hrs before daylight.  this way you can shine your flash light at the other hunters walking towards you...usally turns them around.

 

Private land = 1/2 to 1hr before daylight.  on private land one usally knows all the other hunters and where they hunt

Half hour before civil twilight...I too enjoy the darkness of the morning. Why is it though that I get coldest when the sun stars to come up? Just when I feel those first rays, I always start to shiver and feel cold when I was feeling nice and warm in the dark?

thats because the sun thermals start to push the cold air down when the sun comes up....some stuff like that...

1/2 hour to hour before daylight generally. During gun season though, I dont start walking in until I can see with the exception of the first 2 days.

Depends on stand location. If I am going into the woods then 30 minutes before sunrise. If I am hunting over a field then about 45 minutes before sunrise. If it is raining then I will go in a littler later cause it stays darker alot longer. One time I almost gave up going in the dark because one area I hunt is an old cemetary and apparently I disturbed some turkeys that were roosting right above. Make a long story short I almost had to go home and change my boxers.
