50 round mag legal in ny

Recommended Posts

Why would it jam? Its just 5 standard 10 round mags attached to each other. Once the first mag is empty, you have to drop it and manually move to the next mag. Unless your mags jam, theres nothing else to go wrong.

Because if it was so awesome, why wouldn't they demonstrate how it works? Wonder if this legal anyhow, I'm sure there's some clause somewhere lol.

I'm on my iPad so perhaps I'm not seeing the video? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It isn't a video. I think he is showing you it doesn't change any function. You commented about it jamming but it would only jam if you jammed with a mag anyway. Really no different that how they used to tape 30 rounders together. The tape didn't make them jam either.

We will have to see how it pans out legally but I think it is legal. it take and action to keep shooting (removal, turning and re inserting). that is very different that a single feeding device.

it's a grey area.  for example NYSP SAFE Act contacts have been giving mixed feedback on whether or not a Kel-tec KSG shotgun is legal or not.  Now it's a pump so it's not an assault weapon.  however, it has two tubes that each hold up to 7 shot shells.  to switch between tubes you have to stop firing and flip a selector switch to change to the next tube.  technically they're two separate tubes but it can be construed as one whole device.  it's still one piece or one device despite you'd have to reload each time, so I wouldn't risk it.  that is unless I had a letter of clarification from the NYSP.

Wanna take it one step further on the shotguns? how many of these can you place in a standard mag tub of our normal hunting guns with a 3" or 3-1/2" chamber? that could cause issues as well.
