Mr VJP
It's that special day each year when you are compelled to relinquish your earned income for redistribution, mostly to support Democrat political constituencies. This year, working Americans are required, on average, to send the IRS every cent earned in the first 111 days of 2014 -- and that's three more days than last year. In fact, Obama has now proposed more than 440 tax increases, plus another 20 hidden in the so-called "Affordable Care Act." Unjust taxation was the catalyst for the first American Revolution, and once again, the central government is seizing taxes for purposes not authorized by our Constitution.
sits in trees
Actually Obama gets most of that money and gives it directly to his Muslim overlords.

Mr VJP
So send them more, so you'll feel good about your "fair share". Besides, we are not Socialists. Not yet anyway.
NFA-ADK
Crazy! Not only do we have to pay for the food stamps, free hand outs, now we get to pay for health care! And if some do not agree I will just USE MY PEN! And make it happen anyway! ARG!!! And lets give billions to our enemies so they can live well before they attack us.
Doc
So, does this calculation apply only to Federal income taxes, or does it also include federal fees, NYS, and local property, sales and income taxes and fees. If not, that would be one hell of a shocking statistic! And then if you want to add in mandated purchases like automobile insurances and additional costs on manufactured products and services due to federal and state mandates. How the heck do we even wind up with any disposable cash at all. I thought we fought a Civil War to abolish slavery. I guess that applies to everyone but governments.....lol. PWGUNNY
Let's not forget those expensive trips to Hawaii, ski trips in Colorado, Michelle's $3200/night hotel in China. Today is also a special day in NY. April 15 is the day that Cuomo's Midnight Legislature turns responsible gun owners into felons if they do not yield to his registration demands. Doc
http://taxfoundation.org/article/tax-freedom-day-2014-april-21-three-days-later-last-year Tax Freedom Day is the day when the nation as a whole has earned enough money to pay its total tax bill for year. A vivid, calendar-based illustration of the cost of government, Tax Freedom Day divides all federal, state, and local taxes by the nation’s income. In 2014, Americans will pay $3.0 trillion in federal taxes and $1.5 trillion in state taxes, for a total tax bill of $4.5 trillion, or 30.2 percent of income. This year, Tax Freedom Day falls on April 21, or 111 days into the year. On the web-site listed above, there is a map of the Tax Freedom Day for each individual state. Guess which state has the latest Tax freedom date. Yup, you guessed it .... NYS with a May 4th date No other state even made it into May.....lol. philoshop
I did not pay my taxes register my guns or buy health insurance. I am a 3 strike guy Guess I am as well, although I did send in the tax paperwork without payment. Interesting how the govt is much more concerned about the paperwork than the money. Late payment and even non-payment are viewed as a rather minor offense, up to a point of course. But cause a hiccup in the bureaucratic machine by not doing the paperwork in the prescribed manner and they'll definitely get their panties in a bunch over it.
