I used to shoot the blends, would shoot them again in a instant.Bad MOFO shells!!! I tried longbeards this year and hey group a touch better and you get 10 shots for 25 and Hevi blends are 5 for 25-30 depending on where you buy.Hevi shot has a rebate on there ste if you buy soon so make sure if you can you take advantage of that.I have used it the last 2 years.Takes the sting out of the $$$ part of the equation.

Price tag was the reason I didn't buy it already. Looks like the magnum blend is less expensive than the regular ones.

I meant that I have used (and still use) the regular mag blends. Prior to that I also used hevi 6s and even straight 7s.

I have used them for 2 years now and worth every penny. I have mine paired up with a Kicks choke. the patterns are very impressive out to 60+ yards. If I can find a picture I will post it. Kicks says not to use the hevi shot but I did a lot of research and no one has had a problem with it & neither have I. All in all if you think about it, how many shells do you actually shoot a year? I will gladly pay 30 dollars for a box of 5 shells if I keep getting results like I get.

I probably will only shoot from 1-3 shells a year after I get the gun patterned. I think if I shot up to 5 shells a year it would still be worth it.

Any one ever use Indian creek choke? I hear some really good things with them.

Yes, Indian Creek make a great choke.  I used one for a couple of seasons with my Browning BPS but have since switched to a Pure Gold.  Both chokes patterned about the same but the IC was a pain to clean.

What brand/model gun are you using?

I never even think about cleaning my chokes. I have a Mossberg 535 ATS 12 gauge 3 1/2".

I shoot a Mossberg 835 in 3 1/2 inch. Started shooting Remington Premiere Mags #4. Switched to Federal flight control shells 3 1/2 #4 because they patterned a little better. This year I tried the Winchester XR Long Beard 3 1/2 #4 and was impressed with the patterns at 20 yd. 30 yd. and 40 yd. Filled both tags useing them this year. Worked good in my gun.
