Happy Crossbow Opening Day

Best day of deer season IMO.

I went out this morning. Had 4 doe walk by.  Nothing in tow.

The main reason I went today, was because I could tote the xbow, sitting there hoping you can draw back your compound is not an enjoyable sit .

xbow does make it more enjoyable.

I love it all. I did get to sit in a blind and eat snacks with my kiddos. I wouldn't sit there with my compound.

65 degrees, crickets chirping, no base layer no jacket .  What the crap is this?!?  Everything I saw on the drive was bedded in the fields.

Yesterday’s opener was the worst I ever experienced. Three of us went out and not one deer seen in our parts of Sullivan county. We’ll give it another shot soon. Good luck to all!

My two daughters are coming in Thursday night. I bought Teddi's license and a muzzleloader stamp. Just so she could hunt Friday and Saturday. That crossbow is dead on. We will sit in the same spot she got her first deer 2 years ago. She earned another 3 day pass for being Cadet of the week!
