DMP Surprise

Anyone else get surprised and end up with a DMP? I thought I was just donating $10 to the state but I was shocked to see I ended up getting a DMP that works out for both my home and right behind where I work. (Nothing better than being able to rush out behind my work and hunt for an hour before dark)

I never got two tags, always first choice and never second... weird...

Whoops crappy wording on my part, I only got 1 tag. But every where I was reading was saying I would have a low chance this year, so I spent the $10 planning for another Preference point

I do that every year never get first choice ends up being about every 4 years but always get my second then Nov 1 I go back for 2 more....

I need to expand my horizons and start hunting in Western NY those bonus DMP's are nice!

They don't even give them out where we hunt.

I got one in 3H with just one PP, which has never happened.

I just got 2 DMP permits in the mail from the DEC yesterday. One for 8S and one for 8J. There computer system messed up so I had to call to get my tags.

I will keep my eyes open when I receive my permits to make sure the tags are in there. I was shocked, a guy I work with had 2 PP and was denied. I try with 1 PP and get it, doesn't make any sense to me, but I like it.

Yeah that's why I was shocked I got one in 3H with 1 PP

8g 8g 9h always gets 2 tags and then hand out extras

I remember I got my dmp tag sent in the mail.  I had a big bodied doe dead to rights and I couldn't take the shot because I didn't have the tag.  I was so bummed out and when I got home I had a letter from the dec with the dmp tag for that doe lololol something died in me that day lol

I hunt in 9a and 8a and I aleays get both dmp's. ok not always but its been five years since i had to cook up a preferance point. I got both again this year.
