regulat0r
I was able to hunt this afternoon for the bow opener and had a great hunt. I saw 3 separate bucks come in just before dark. 2 big bucks chased each other out at about 50 yards and a nice 8 walked into my lane but it was too dark and I didnt want to take a risky shot. I will be able to hunt tomorrow as well. I was thinking about hunting a different spot but its hard to leave todays spot when I know 3 nice deer are in the area. My concern is that my scent will burn out the stand and push the bucks out of the area. Would 2 hunts do this or am I ok to hunt the same spot tomorrow and then give it some time to cool off? Please let me know what you think!

jr.deerslayer
Personally, if they didn't know you were there Id hit it again. Might as well try to kill one before they switch up the summer patterns. There liable to do the exact same thing tomorrow.

growalot
Yep....... do it all the time and I have 38 stands...but some are better than others at certain times...I was nearly shot out of my stand opening morning ,gun season several years ago...Screaming 911...DEC trooper and I out at the stand....the next morning I went in and shot a very wide 7 pt....They will travel where the doe travel....especially in areas where ppl are commonand they have gotten use to us.. moog5050
If the wind is the same, I would hunt it. Good luck. You might have a quick early season. Edited October 2, 2014 by moog5050
