Mailing Ammunition

Does anyone know the law regarding mailing ammo in NY. Can I mail ammo out of state? What about face to face sale? I found some ammo I can't use but not worth getting in trouble over.

I do not believe it is legal to ship any ammo with the US postal service in any state.  You can call them to check. UPS will take it when the box has the correct placard on it.  Face to face sale is still done all the time.  Not sure what the Governor thinks about it, but I know it's done.

Face to Face sales are No One's Business except the two Faces !

Our Governor would like it to require a NICS check when transferred, even face to face.  It's Soviet style stuff.

I still have a company that will ship ammo to NY. Just ordered some slugs and pistol ammo Friday
