luberhill
I have two spots that I need to clear , three times I’ve see a buck walk behind this crap and I can’t get a clear shot I can do it quick with a hand saw and pruner Think it will mess up the area if I do it tomorrow ? I can be in and out in 15 minutes
airedale
Personally I would have no problem getting in there and clipping some of those obstacles, just clip them and let them lay and leave. Al
wolc123
Speaking as someone who has likely struck things on two of my last 3 shots deer this year, and missed them clean as a result, I say cut them branches asap.

airedale
Many times I carry a small folding saw and a set of compact brush shears in a belt pack, especially early in the season when there are a lot of leaves. I move around a lot and am constantly pruning limbs and branches when I set up to give me clear sighting. Al
New York Hillbilly
Prune away! I passed on last nights sit in order to prune, chainsaw, and rip down all the annoying obstacles in my way that emerged from the heavy winds. I figured it was better to lose a nights sit than lose to my mind watching deer walk past with the same things blocking me. Even worse would be to have them affect my shot, and end up wounding a then unrecoverable deer.
Doc
I generally have all that stuff cut out weeks or days before I intend to hunt those areas. However, I have noticed that the deer do not take inventory of what vines and fallen limbs are missing. Also, they don't seem to worry about residual human scent from such activity. Perhaps there is some cowardly old buck who might be bothered by such things. I doubt it but who knows.
landtracdeerhunter
Why do you think the bucks are walking in that? You should see some of the tickets were hunting in; that's nothing.
