So the "Bought The Farm" post has got me thinking about the possible interest in a meet and greet. I know it's been done before with, I think, pretty good success. I know we don't have as many regular contributing members as we once did but the ones we have seem to be great guys. I know in the off-season I'm always looking for hunting related things to do when I'm not scouting or hiking. I'm probably one of the farthest north guys we have here in Jefferson county but I'm willing to travel as long as it's not in whiteout conditions. Just trying to gauge the interest and maybe help get the ball rolling. Let me know if the interest is there. Thanks guys!

I would do it. Not many of us so may not happen but we try! Thanks. 
I know there's not many but numbers are always everything. I'm thinking even if we could get a small group of say 6-10 it sounds like to me it would be a great time to put a face to nicknames and really see who they are.

I’m a tad bit further North then yourself but you sure have me beat in the Snow department. Like Today. Green grass and a dusting here at the farm and 10 miles down 81 are getting total whiteouts. That’s the tough part on the winter travel.

We could shoot for a day in the winter then have a backup plan to put it off more towards spring if we have to.

With me still working full time at my age, it would depend on when and where. I would like to attend if it is possible.
 It looks like you all are north of me, but I am no stranger to the North country.  
Awesome we'd love to have you. I'm thinking we'll see all who chimes in and try to come up with a place that will work for everyone. Somewhere as centrally located as possible.

I can think of a good central location for upstate NY.  They also have the best Reuben sandwiches that I’ve ever had.  That would be the Brewer Union Cafe on Bartel rd in Brewerton NY.  It is about 15 minutes north of the I-90, just off I-81.  
 

I can be there in two hours from home in WNY, and about the same from my in-laws up in the Dacks.

So it sounds like we have enough interest to get the ball rolling and I'm hoping once we get something planned that maybe a few more would decide to come. The Brewerton location would work for me I'm only a little over an hour north. It also sounds like its very easy to find. Does anyone else have any suggestions? What is everyone thinking for a time frame? I think we probably need to schedule it out at least a month or so to give others a chance to join and for people to make plans? Would a Saturday evening work ? Sunday is the best day for me but I realize it might not be best for most so I can make a Saturday work. Also I know some places close early on Sundays.

Sunday would be best for me also.  B.U.C. Is open 7am-3pm Sunday and 7am-8pm Saturday.  
 

Presidents weekend would be good as would most others after Feb 1.

Never been there, but looks like a good choice.

Sounds good to me, if the weather cooperates.  I’ll roll it in with an ice fishing trip to my in-laws.    Things are looking good now for good ice.  I don’t see any warm temps in the long range forecast.

Glad to see the "Bought The Farm " post  generated,  into great idea. Sure would be nice meeting up with a fine bunch of people.  I think something like this went on maybe 6 or 7 years ago with great success.

Not going to be able to make this go around, but sure would like to give the next, a try.

Maybe we can start a thread on here during the event, for those of us that can't be there in person. Live from the Greet and Meet
