philoshop
I believe the thumbhole stocks are no longer legal on the 10/22 because of SAFE. Apparently it turns the plinker into an 'assault' rifle. Lots of used factory stocks on ebay though. If you want new, Boyds has some really nice stuff at a good price. JJBat150
Last year before registration kicked in, I was going to build my daughters a left handed 10-22.... They are both right handed but shoot left. Figured with a thumb-hole stock they would get a more solid grip. Once I realized thumb-hole equals an evil feature, I decided that they'd be stuck with standard grip. edited to add: Oh yea, and did I mention that I can still go on-line and find thumb-hole stocks with very few places restricting sales to NYS.... but if I want a bucket of bullets that's a no-no. Thanks unSAFE ACT. Edited November 30, 2014 by JJBat150
