I am with you Dom, one of my lowest seasons for seeing deer but I must admit I had a great time in the woods this year.

Same here. No deer but I saw a lot, passed on a few and blew some opportunities on others. Had a lot of laughs with my friends and as a group we didn't do too bad. Im in the mood to re set and clear stands already  LOL!

I have never heard of as many of those as this year.  It is just amazing what a bumper crop of acorns like we had will do to push deer nocturnal.   I cant wait to see what the harvest numbers are this year when they come out.  We usually don't get acorn numbers like that on consecutive years, and with such a low kill this year, and mild winter (so far anyhow), next season should be spectacular.

After opening day I saw almost nothing. Probably hunted 12 times through rest of Reg season. Not a bad day amongst them though.

No shots here during gun season . Wasn't seeing much of any deer on the Trail Cams during the gun season .

Removed one of my stands in Geneseo today and saw 8 doe ( 4 in 2 different spots ) between 2 and 3 pm .

Yes it should be an amazing year in 2015...For Doe Tag's! I am sure you will see some crazy numbers of tags giving away in many areas. If hunter numbers continue to drop and more years like this one rolls around it wont be good.

 

Just saw on the Newz where the city of Syracuse's mayor is all over Mr Joe at the DEC office to rid the city of so many deer...Funny part is they are leaning towards sharpshooters and BIRTH CONTROL at 1100 bucks a deer.  Yup thats where we are at in the hunting world. Scary!

The reason it's expensive is because it is very difficult to put condoms on those bucks .
