Looking for a new suit, need recommendations

Does anyone have a recommendation for a line of fleece clothing in some kind of decent snow camo? No wind block is a must, it doesn't breath and I will be mainly using this to track in the snow.

I have been using my Cabelas Wooltimate, but I get too wet from sweat, it just doesn't breath with the windshear lining.

I have Game Hide rain wear and love it...dry and no sweating while hiking up and down hills...well made as well heres a link to their insulated midweight coat..they have matching bibs.....

It is what is underneath the outer layer that counts as open weave base layer then a second layer to pull moisture from that. I am not a fan of fleece but I do have game hide also with out any problems.Most of the outer layers I have is of 100% wool material.

I have a Game Hide, Love it. Its about 16 yrs old and still not ready to replace it. The only thing i don't like about is the big hood, wish it fit better to the head

sounds like you need to just go with some seclusion winter cover ups from cabelas.  they breathe because they're just a coverup.  if you hit a sunny south side of a mountain with no snow strip them off and you're good to go.  you can pick up a few or more for the cost of one set of camo and you should be layering with fleece anyway.  they've worked well for me.  just my thoughts.

I'm surprised more people don't hunt with snow camo.  it really works later in the season.  I've setup in the middle of a wide open alfalfa field the deer were crossing through.  I was sitting just in the middle next to a patch of ledge and 2.5 ft tall thin grass and with the sun at my back.  a ton of deer crossed right in front of me in a wide open 30 acre field within 30 yards.

Hard to find something you won't sweat in Terry... I usually only wear poly long underwear light fleece coat and pants... boonie hat and no gloves... and I still get hot as hell.

I know, it's just out of control with the windshear lining. I need something without it and I figure I might as well incorporate the snow camo as well.

I do recommend a jacket that unzips in the front versus a pull over... that way you can unzip to let heat out... I like a lot of pockets so I don't have to carry a back pack... sometimes just a good fanny pack if I'm hunting back in a ways... I wear a fleece vest instead of a coat sometimes if its warmer out.

I have a small fanny pack I wear. Doesn't get in the way and it's fleece so it's dead quiet. Doesn't carry a lot, just what I need.

I have walls snow camo. It's cotton like. Old school with no wind block but I don't wear it much anymore because it absorbs moisture and smell. Reversible too. Killed a bunch of deer in them.

Not what you're looking for but I was thinking of just throwing something like this over my Mossy Oaks gear.  Don't want to spend money on a whole new set of gear.

it's Cabelas lightweight coverup jacket and pants.  it has no lining for wind and water resistance.  I honestly couldn't find anything that breathes like that in snow camo at the time.  I looked for a full zip cotton or plain fleece hoodie or sweatshirt and couldn't find that either.  otherwise most snow camo out there will have some kind of lining for weatherproofing or wind blocking that'll prevent it from breathing as well.  I went down your path and I came up with that or non-hunting clothing that's white and women's. lol

at the time they didn't have scentlok vertigo camo but that's another option as long as it's not fancy with weather resistance or wind blocking lining.

I have a custom maker that can make me one in pure white. I could use some fabric paint and add a few squiggly marks for a little camo.

This is similar to what I have for still hunting in the snow. I don't wear it much since we barely have snow during hunting season where I live. I primarily use it up north at hunting camp. I usually wear the UA cold gear compression long sleeve shirt under it and have no issues even with temps into the 20's.

How quiet is it?

It's pretty quiet. I wear it late season bow hunting if it's not terribly cold.

On a cold day (< 30), I use a base layer - some sort of poly or silk, then a wool shirt, then a fleece (probably will be wool in the future) vest, then a very light but warm LLBean Primaloft jacket, then a rain jacket.  Both the LLB and rain jacket are stuffable into a decent sized fanny pack or small backpack. Usually hike wearing either the vest or just the shirt as an outer layer, unless below about 35, and then layer up/down as needed. Got an UA compression shirt for Xmass and will try that next year.

 

By pacing my hike and (de)layering, I can keep sweating to a minimum.  If I get wet, I have dry layers to add after I reach a stand/watch, which usually seems to accelerate the drying process.  The layering and delayering is a bit of a pain but seems to keep me comfortable.

 

Now, just need to keep those feet warm on <20 degree days.
