Good project for this time of year

Ok, a lot of us are getting cabin fever and are on the verge of insanity. I have a great project figured out for at least one of these house-bound days. I'm dragging out all my poles and tackle boxes and going through everything. I'm going to toss what is busted, useless, or just plain doesn't work, and fix all the stuff that needs fixing, and putting new line on the poles, etc., etc.

So, anyone looking for something useful to do during winter, that is something that you will appreciate next spring, and also gets you mind off of this crappy record-setting winter and onto a better time of year.

Good idea Doc.. My fishing gear could certainly use some organizing.

I have been working on a fishing related activity, though.

I tie my own hair jigs and I have been tying up a supply of the ones I use most, 1/16 oz. and 1/8oz. brown and black.

I have my tying vise set up right beside my computer and I have perhaps a 2 or 3 year supply tied up so far.

March is the month I have time to do all of the house stuff I've been putting off for months, like fixing drawers and faucets.  It is also when I like to reload all of the empty cartridges I have saved from a year of hunting and shooting.

I have been doing the exact thing  this past week.  I just finished going thru all my spoons on Friday & started going thru the stick baits. I did my jet divers & dipsey's a week ago.  I went to the WNY sports expo. & bought some new "Bay Rat" lures & a new Eagle Claw inline reel for perching! Next will be respooling reels with new line.  Nice to see some fishermen here thought everyone just hunted.

That a reel good idea. I don't fish a whole lot anymore, but I still get out here and there (Mostly the local streams for trout). My rods could all use a going over and new line. It should kill an afternoon. Ive been looking for things to do. My hunting gear is as organized as its going to get and my firearms can't possibly be any cleaner.
