Jaeger
Got a .475 Turnbull custom 1886 on order, does that count? It's a 50-110 case shortened and necked down to .475. Puts out 400 grain barnes at about 2100fps. For our local buffalo, lions and such.

Also a recent thread on 338 brush gun scopes. I shoot and hunt with it with 200 grain bullets. It seems to be a finiky round, but if you get it dialed in, it's powerful, relatively flat for NY hunting and relatively easy on the shoulder. I got the big bore bug again and picked up a 450 marlin. I have everything for a 404 Jeff build sitting here, smith I was going to use got out of the game with ATF headaches.....Win 70 action, NECG sights,Lothar Walther barrel. When funds allow I will find another to start work on it. On the 8 Rem Mag......I'd still like a 300 Jarrett, parent case is 8 Mag in 30 cal. Similar ballistics to 300RUM. No particular reason......just for something different. Edited August 21, 2015 by Dinsdale

sailinghudson25
Either s 1873 or a 1892 Winchester in a easy to find caliber. Probably 38 special because it's cheap to shoot. I just like a old or reproduction old Winchester lever.

Classic rifle and a great deer cartridge. would be nice to find one that came with the interchangeable .410 barrel.........a friend of mine had one, and believe it or not lost the .410 barrel...what a shame that was.
