Bear are protected still in Connecticut, but here's a video of a bear in my woodlot, he's in good shape for just coming out of his den.(he was going after a chicken carcass I hung from a branch)

Man what a beautiful big bear. 

 

THAT would be the bear I'd hope to go by me.........when I have the 'Ol 243 in my hands just to put the nay sayers to rest. :)

 

That really is the bear of a lifetime, IMO.  Great vids, thanks.
