Does still with fawns in 4k. Had two small spikes come out in does feeding last night. Didn't even pay any attention to them. Spikes just passed them by

Saw two fawns together on Tuesday night in 3h they were at my apple trees in the back yard. Mamma was no where in sight

last night i saw a small spike that was it. No chasing or anything in 8X, I will pull my camera card after work and see if there is anything on it. I won't be in the woods until this weekend lets hope something big makes it way towards my stand.

Saturday 11/7: 

8-point, 30 Minutes after daylight, Seeking, responded to bleat but no shot

Doe 1pm

Button Buck 4:40pm

10-point, 10 minutes before dark, too far for a shot, not interested in calls

 

Sunday 11/8:

Doe 9:30am

 

Tuesday 11/10:

2 hr sit in the late afternoon

9K       spikes and 4pts , noses to the ground , running in circles , a few single does around .My cameras are showing decent bucks at night  ,not seeing any during shooting hours. Its starting to get interesting.

There was more movement last night for sure. I am headed out now, these next 2 days should be good. 68 degrees next week cant be good.

Was in Carmel this morning. Its crazy windy, got blown out of the stand around 8:30 used the time to do a short scouting walk.

Crazy rut activity this evening in 4J. Missed out on a 10 I've been watching all season. He came through hot on a doe, needed 15 more yards to get a good shot. Went out this morning and not much activity, but between 2:30 PM-dusk the deer were extremely active both today and yesterday. Lots of chasing and buck activity. 

 

Can't shoot 'em on the couch, tomorrow might be a good day to hit the stands if you're in the Albany area.

Yesterday, 22 deg with wind chill, 30-40 gusts, horizontal snow... The last conditions I expect to see anything.... Huge sneaks in 12-15 yards no shot... Couple minutes later small buck nose to the grind right behind her.

I can't tell where we are. This is the first true sing I've seen of the rut here in 4A.

4P came to life yesterday.  I saw 2 bucks cruising in the am.  The afternoon I laid some scent out and had a 6 point come running right in within 15 minutes.  My first crossbow kill.  On my way out another 6 pt crossed my path and he paid no attention to me.  From seeing 4 deer all bow season to 4 bucks in one day!

Watched a crotch horn chasing a doe all about at work yesterday. 7f. He had good size to him.

Hunted 7R today from 45 min to 1 hr before Daylight to now, Nothing at all moving. Dead quite out. Setup next to an Apple orchard on one side Cornfield on the other side. big draw to bedding area. Wind was right too.

I hunt the 7J-7F line(depends which side of the road your on), we have not seen any rutting yet. All does and bucks are alone.

Sat, 11/14:  Early spike just after first light.  Small 6 point at 10:30 am, both seemed fairly nonchalant from a seeking/chasing perspective.

 

Sun, 11/15:  Doe first light, nothing else yet, lunch break and heading back out.

5R and 5J are very quiet so far. Few scrapes but not much really going on.

I think we have hit the pre rut lull in 8x and 8f I have only seen a few fawns in the last week when I went from seeing 3-8 mature deer. It's getting there.
