There is a spot in Harriman NY where they just broke ground about 3-4 weeks ago ripped down an old Motel and was going to put a new Cabela's there.

 

I got wind on Tuesday that the job has been stopped other then preparing the ground they started to prevent from erosion.

 

This is probably the reason why.

I heard Cabelas pulled out from Harriman for a better offer from somewhere in central Jeresy, they were having problems over easements with the town of Harriman

I was waiting for the Harriman NY Cabela's to open but that's not happening. On a positive note Bass Pro Shops are very nice stores, made frequent trips to the one in Orlando when I was living in much warmer climes.

Very Interesting. I prefer Cabelas over bass pro but id love to see if they're going to have a big sale close to their closing. Good thing is they're opening a Bass Pro 30 min away from me.

They are scheduled to open up in Nassau county LI. Im hoping they wont scrap that idea but it would be a good investment for them.
