New to huntingny

I'm new to NY with moving here last fall. Looking to get more familiar with the area and find a few places to hunt/ fish. Looking for suggestions. Live near 8g/8h

I'm in 8g, you have the Iroquois preserve u can hunt, I've never hunted there so I can't help with how to and where. Also Darien state land is another place you can go. There u sign in and ur good to go. Fishing there's obviously lake Ontario, there's some small lakes like lake glenwood near medina. Well welcome aboard and hope we all can help you out enjoy the area more.

Also is your 0211 your military mos? Just curious I was 0311.

Welcome aboard! I can't help you with recommendations in your area, but the handbook that comes with your hunting license has maps that show state lands that are accessible, and usually phone numbers so that you can get more detailed info. Best of luck to you.
