Regardless of how fast the crossbows shoot through a chronograph, your effective hunting range is still limited, just like a compound bow.

Oh and there have been people whining about the early archery thing for years, its nothing new.

Anyone can learn to use a bow So I don't see what's the problem is .

Just like anyone can learn to use a,muzzleloader and hunt that season .

The  way they have it now is fine.  be careful for what you wish for because the Anti  gun rights nuts will gladly use the xbow excuse to ban all guns from being used for hunting.   You never know .

Xbow different skill set then a bow it's not archery .

All guns on the other hand you shoot the same way . AIM AND SHOOT . The muzzleloaders you load different and they have there own season as well right .

WITH A BOW YOU HAVE to LERN  THE PROPER FORM  TO SHOT ONE AND IT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT THEN SHOOTING A XBOW .

DEC KNOWS IT THAT'S WHY THEY DON'T LET IT IN ALL OF ARCHERY IN THE FIRST PLACE .

Wrong. It takes the same woodsmanship skills to effectively hunt a deer with a crossbow and a compound.

As far as your aim and shoot comment, you are wrong on that too. You need proper form with a crossbow, it just takes a little less practice to achieve than a vertical bow.

DEC wants full inclusion, dont fool yourself. They did what they did to get them established as a legal hunting implement and not have to deal with the whining from the minority of a certain elitist group (NYB). If you are going to throw stuff out there, you might want to learn the facts of what went down first.

Oh stop with the doom and gloom, I dont buy into it. Antigun people are not my concern when it comes to a crossbow conversation.

Are you going to address my point about a seperate season for each different implement?

When I put my draw-loc on my compound bow, does that make it a crossbow since it has a trigger? Or is it a combo gun-bow? Is the compound no longer a bow? Please let me know....I don't want to infringe on any ones public land ownership during regular bow season and crowd the woods with my draw-loc compound half gunbow......I do have my modified archery permit btw

Yea what do I know only been using bow for over 30 years . And i have  a xbow also and a xbow is a lot more easy to shot in fact I could give anyone who knows how to shoot a gun   a  crossbow and the very first shot they take would  easily be a bullseye with out teaching them anything at  30  yards   now try that with a bow. Some guys can't even hit the target bag at that distance when the first try it .

And that is why everyone will probably put there bows away and get the most powerful crossbow they can afford if they make xbow all of archery season .

Just like recurves went bye bye with the use of compound .  If you main goal is killing more deer then you will switch to a xbow .

It is what it is .

I mean some guys may still use them for the exstra challenge but  most will switch .

Just like how many guys use iron sites anymore compared to scopes

My question is if/when it's full inclusion would they be allowed to use the either sex tag or will it remain for only bow?

Full inclusion but allow the crossbow hunters to take only doe until the current season dates where they are allowed to shoot a buck. Bam problem solved.

Do you read what people respond to you with, or just blindly respond and fly off in your own direction?

Recurves didnt go bye bye, you are free to shoot one if you choose. I know a guy that just shot a P&Y buck with one this weekend. On a property that is dominated by compounds no less.

You keep saying probably, etc. You dont need to guess at what will happen, theres plenty of states to look at for examples of what happens after crossbow inclusion. Ill give you a hint, its not the doom and gloom picture you keep painting.

So making things more and more complicated seems like a good way to try and gain participation in the sport?

BTW, when full inclusion happens, you will still be able to use your compound.

That  should be you concern.  What's it they said when they  banned ARs  in NY  o yea the ad  slogan  went something like this you don't need a assault weapon to hunt deer .

Next they will be saying you don't need a gun to hunt deer .

Xbow works  good enough.

AS soon as they have the right excuse to do so like some crazy shoots a bunch of people with a bolt action.   That's all it took to ban AR's in ny one crazy in Connecticut . They are just waiting  to do  it . ItS allready in there plan

So like I said be careful for what you wish for .

Blah blah blah. Its nothing but a doom and gloom tactic used in many anti crossbow conversations.

How about you answer the question.

Its not an if, it will happen.

(If) btw

I hunt pretty much only  public these days because it is much  closer  to my home then the private land I have permission to hunt on  and that means I have to compete with the other hunters in that area all of which are going to switch to xbows and more will get into the sport because it's easier  .

it's like bringing a knife to a gunfight  lol

Hunting isnt a competition, its a personal challenge type sport. You vs the animal, not you vs joe everybody. Also, why do you keep thinking that "everybody" is going to do this or that? Real data from states that have gone to full inclusion does not support your theory.

Lol o yea because they have a endless supply of big  bucks or any deer  on state land . That if you are serious about getting one your going  use something that gives someone else  huge advantage.  Lol

I see that is why I get  on here because I like hunting with a smoothbore bore shot gun with iron sites.  LiKE 20 guys ask me why ?

When you can use something better .

I'm sure those guys are going to keep using there bow to if that xbow in all archery  season  happens lol

Let's not mention the guys who us  compound bows and then bs everyone on here saying they took a huge buck at 25 yards with a recurve lol

Not to mention anyone but lol

Well I think if there is full inclusion for crossbows that it is only fair that those hunters who demand to use such weapons have to follow the same route traditional bowhunters had to follow and earn your full inclusion stripes by having the several decades the incremental changes and improvements our bows went through instead of going to the head of the class right off the get go with one of these.

2016-10-31_092458_zpswqynqj6s.png

We started out with long bows and recurves that had to have a minimum weight of pull, we shot cedar arrows, our bows had to be able to shoot an arrow a certain distance, also no mechanical release, finger tabs or glove only.

Something along these lines should be good for starters the first few seasons, BWHAHAHAHHA!        Al

Ok, calm down and type so that everyone can understand you.....

Some pretty substantial accusations you are throwing around there.
