Sawyer Permethrin tick repellent

I've used this product with great results hunting turkeys in the springtime , but I'm a little leery using it on my deer hunting clothes. The manufacturer claims it's odorless when dry , but I'm not sold on that claim. Has anyone used this product on their deer hunting clothes and do you think it jeopardized your chances of killing a deer ?

I use it on all my hunting clothes and on my hiking/walking clothes here on Long Islands east end and I've gotten pretty close to deer and they haven't seemed spooked. However i do believe on Long Island scent is less important.

I use it all season  long  hunting scouting it never seems to bother the deer at all.

Funny you mention this. I sprayed the crud out of my daughters and my gear 2 days ago. Was just in our cold storage a few minutes ago smelling gear. Can't smell a thing. It goes on with a stronger smell you'd think would hang around but indeed is odorless now.

Been using it on LI for a few years now.  No smell and the chemical in it is actually naturally occurring in nature so no need to worry about it.

I would not enter the LI woods without it!

I was us8ng it but now buy the concentrate permitherin from tractor supply and mix per directions for using on dogs and spray our clothes and my dog with it works excellent

I am sure it's fine. Frankly it's moot anyway; I think the risk of lyme is high enough that sawyers should be used regardless. Amazon used to sell the concentrate but doesn't now. Maybe I could get it on ebay if not tractor supply (post above mine).

Only year I didn't use it on my clothes and I had ticks all over me this year....also my worst season ever for seeing deer so.I usually see lots of deer every year and Ive used it for 3-4 years spring turkey and fall deer!!!
