fasteddie
One upside to my Deer hunting activities is that I have lost almost 10 pounds so far this season . If I can keep this up , by the time I am 85 , I should be at a reasonable weight . In the past I had tried some 30 day diets and all I lost was a few months !
Core
I wish that worked for me. I have developed an extremely bad habit of swinging by mcdonalds on the way back from where I go. And there is just enough time between there and my house for me to take down a bigmac meal and throw its wrappers in the trash before anybody at home is the wiser
The_Real_TCIII
Im with you Core, I am absolutely starving when I come out of the woods and usually eat fast food on the way home negating any calories I've burned afield
Fletch
I started a biggest loser challenge during bow with friends and family. I started at 244 and I was 213 this morning. Looking to hit 199 at least. I have not been under 200 since about 10 years ago when I was under chemo. I usually always lose 10 pounds during hunting season as it is but cutting out junk and crap food make a huge difference. As well as cutting down on some beer.

grampy
With all the extra activity since October first. I have lost a little over 15 pounds. And lowered my A1C down a bit too! I'll see the endocrinologist on Dec.14th. Should get a thumbs up. And I'm sure both numbers will rise around the holidays! Then it's time to chase the coyotes for a month or two!
The_Field_Ager
I hit the woods a lot, work out in basement, weights and heavy punch bag etc, cycle a little in the warmer weather. I never lose an ounce. If I want to lose weight I have to stop eating.
Deerstalker
A big part of the reason i hunt is just to stay active this time of year i make it a point to walk as far as i can when hunting on public land usally you have to if you want to see anything , but i do it just for the exercise alot of the times anyway. Will_C
I do just the opposite during deer season-I gain weight if I don't watch it. I mostly stand hunt, and am guilty of eating too many snacks while I stand. My cousins wife puts on lunches for us when I hunt in Pennsylvania, and they are ample and good!
