Short Rant about USPS

OK, It's that back woods town of Penfield Post Office. Not the town of Webster. "Where life is worth living".  Or Altamont. "A nice place to live".  This is all fun...... until someone doesn't get their money!!!

I have no issues with a USPS Money Order, GREAT way to pay and get paid for internet purchases.  Go in the afternoon and cash your MO, they'll be flush with cash then.

+1; lots of internet forum transactions with USPS MO's. For way more than a hundred dollars too, great way to move cash around.

Kinda ridiculous not to have 100 around in the cash drawer, but guess it happens.

I was turned away one time last year I think, IIRC the USPS MO was for $300 +/- and the little office I went to chuckled....I said no sweat, (in my Arnold voice) I'LL BE BACK!

So I DID go back after luch and she was fat with cash...........

If I had pics, you'd be damned sure I'd post 'em.

I was turned away one time last year I think, IIRC the USPS MO was for $300 +/- and the little office I went to chuckled....I said no sweat, (in my Arnold voice) I'LL BE BACK!

On one hand, it's a miracle that you can send a letter across the country for 49 cents. Want to guess what UPS would charge you for that? 

But on the other hand, damn, do they have to be such idiots?

I stopped by my branch during a snowstorm. "Closed due to weather."

I stop on the way to work if I have a larger amount and give em' a heads up; they'll even get the cash from another branch thats bigger and have it waiting for me.

If its a couple for 1K each from a gun, I'll space em' out anyway so I just don't buy another! LOL

I make out great at the Post Office, mail guns, get live chicks through the mail, never had a piece of outgoing mail lost ever.......best deal in the Gov't.

Send stuff to South Africa a few times a year, need to use courier or it would never get there. Even then you need to bribe the route driver to keep things from getting ripped off when they receive it.

I've had (knock on wood) GREAT luck with the USPS.  I understand things don't always work out but I haven't been bit.........yet.

Between a couple other web sites and eBay, I've got to have 400+ items I've sent through them.

Agree. For 49 cents they'll come to my house pick up an envelope and bring it to my buddy's house, on an island off the coast of Washington state .

Im not walking across the street for 49 cents.

They now deliver a lot of my UPS packages,,,
