If that is the case, I hope he tastes more like his momma than his poppa.  I don't care for the flavor of mule deer, it tastes a little too much like sage brush for me.

cmon out Grampy.   In fairness, we know of a few older bucks that made it from last season so it's easy to be a bit jaded.  But who knows if they will be back.  I hope.  Certainly nothing wrong with split g2.   He may be gone come season too.

I am sure we have had other split tine bucks but only one this year.
