We need a new "First Shot Daily Pics" thread in the bow hunting area.

 

Why lock this up? The main purpose of the thread is still worthy of discussion.

Scoring racks and self control with triggers are two problems NYers really suffer from. I've never dove into the books but have seen a 165" 8 taken in Livingston county that dwarfed the even higher inched deer around it like it was a caricature.

Some guy started a thread on AT about the pockets of 150" bucks in western NY. Usually someone brings up the Lucky and ? Boylan bucks every year too. Most don't get it. Record books are a synapse in time and most savvy NY trophy killers aren't going near a record book for a reason...but then again neither are most poachers here and we have way more of those.
