I finally got mine yesterday! I am surprised how strong it smells. I sprayed on my pants this morning and doing my jackets this morning

The smell goes away but ya it’s stronge going on. And it works

i spray deet on the inside pants legs but that smell stay there. Just extra peice of mind for me

Hit your garments hard. Like 4/5 only per whole bottle. Cuffs , pant cuffs and collars the hardest. Smell goes away upon drying.

I found that by the time I spray all my hunting clothes & equipment that one bottle doesn't go far. I went to tractor supply and bought this 8 oz. bottle for $7.99. The full 8 oz. bottle mixed with water will make a1.2 gallons of spray. I can spray a lot more and more often at half the cost.

Some of the warnings on that stuff are a bit scary: NOTE: Do not apply to skin. This repellent is for clothing and fabric goods only. Repellents that contain DEET are not recommended for skin. Avoid contact with face, eyes, skin or breathing vapor mist.
 

Sounds like you want to be sure that it is absolutely bone dry before putting anything on that is sprayed with it.

Has to dry to work, do it the day before you go out. Some guys on LI duct tape their pant legs also.

I give myself a quick spray before going in. Not too crazy. Never had a problem with ticks or chiggers. I don't see why it wouldn't work immediately.
