What brand sells 4 foot sections? 
Curious. 

the top section ends with a T so o.o cut that off flush, my stepson works in a fab/weld shop so I have him sleeve crimp the verticals.
Bought piles of them from dick's sporting goods after season close outs for 25 or 30 each. That's the last unopened set I have

20's. Up and out of sight even if little cover on tree. Also keeps your thermals up and away. And, who doesn't like to get high during season ??? !!

All depends on the spot and environment. On a ridge line, I like to sit low (1'-8') so I look through the trees down hill. In the hardwoods, as high (12'-25') as it takes to get coverage and still have shooting lanes. In a shallow gully, as high as I can, trying to see out both sides.

When you're that high up and shooting down so such a steep angle, is there any worry about shooting through the backstraps? I usually stay 10-15' up..

Bolt Action, that is a good question and observation. I am one who gets up usually a little over twenty feet . I prefer my shots to be 15 yards and up, not because I am worrying about back strap, but because I worry about making a good clean shot through both lungs.

Don't get me wrong.. we all want quick clean kills..I would just hate to have to shoot through the straps to get there

15' to 18' is plenty high enough for me

Yup, I understood what you were asking about Bolt action. I take my shots at a little longer distance so I have a better entry and exit angle. It is an issue as you get up a little higher. No way I am cutting the back straps before I am butchering.
