Maps showing cities/roads and WMU overlay?

Forgive me if this is something everybody else knows - there's a lot of that that I don't.  

Does anyone know a source for maps of NYS that show the WMU's but also show towns, counties, roads, etc?  It seems to me kind of dumb that DEC posts these nice color maps of WMU's, but it's impossible to tell where the boundaries are....

I agree ,i'm also doing my homework on state land spots and there is no detailed maps that show roads as well as state land boundaries.  They do have a digital version for garmin which i will most certainly be getting once i start hunting on state land , just in case i get a someone trying to shag me away using the trespassing  line.

OnX Hunt app is what has helped me decipher zones.

For $30 a yr, check out onx hunt.  Shows land boundaries, owners names, and the unit it's in along with the unit boundaries well defined.

we have a county tax map online version here in otsego county,shows all the property lines and owners,so state land and county land shows up. You do have to know where the state land is though,it is not highlighted.

Try this.  State Lands Interactive Mapper  http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/45415.html

You have to go to "Layers" and make sure you put a check next to "Wild Life Management Unit" .

I use GAIA gps its an app but for 30 dollars a year it gives you all land owners and public lands. You can also save the place you plan on hunting and even if there is no cell service, your phone has a gps which will tell your exact location. It also does everything else that a gps can do all in a cell phone.
