BigVal
Friend of mine said he has a co worker that interview for a job at gander. They told him they'll be opening early in April at the Tonawanda location we'll see if this ones any better lol.
Lawdwaz
I'm all set on coolers........no other reason to go, is there?
loworange88
Cicero store was slated for end of Feb, early March....looks like a ghost town over there. Hoping if they do open they are better than the last store. Runnings is my new favorite store though!
BigVal
Yeah gander had quite a selection of coolers. I assume this will be a bad store as well but we will see. Apparently they're going to sell allot of camping specific stuff which eliminates most of my interest compared to hunting and fishing sections. goosifer
I'll be curious to see what they do with their gun department. Based on what they are (were?) selling online, I was encouraged. With all going on with D**ks and Walmart lately, who knows.

I think I still prefer Runnings, and Herb Philipsons for buying guns, seems to be less corporate/political BS. If there were more small gun shops near me I'd likely goto them as well, but the drive to and from is my only issue.

Herb phillipsons is still without its FFL ! lost it two weeks ago cause they didnt renew it in time - also recently announced they are selling , prob tied together. I think its just 4 stores - Rome, Oneida New hartford and herkimer. But wouldnt be surprised if it ends up at all of them as I was told they were out of compliance for 21 days before they knew it. Feds not gonna like that and I had a new gun i ordered from them come in the day they lost their license ...... and there it still sits...... so I just ordered one from Bass Pro

Jeremy K
Gander closing was the best thing for anyone looking to buy a firearm . i got a smoking deal on a 30-30 right before they closed . I always hated that they didn't have any archery stuff at gander (or very little) . Their weekly deals were never deals and could always be had cheaper online.
