Huge smile I’m sure He was supposed to but had to cancel at the last minute due to a contractor needing to meet him at his house that hes preparing to sell. Told us to go anyway. I am going to be out of town this week/weekend, but we have a full day on the water planned for the following weekend.
MPHunter
Looks like the stripers have made it to Albany. Quite a few boats off the Corning Preserve this morning. There was an even bigger cluster of boats at the Patroon Island bridge (past the railroad bridge in the distance).

Just realized i forgot to answer the second part of the question. Minimum size for striped bass below the george washington bridge is 28". I personally only keep 1-3 bass a year ranging from 28-33. Anything over gets released.
ATbuckhunter
Got out just a little while ago. Man it sucks that my secret spot for 8 years has blown up with people this year. Ive never fished with more than 3 people, but there were 15 there today. Got 1 decent hit and then hooked up 5 min later, but lost it right away. Got no hits for a couple hours after and only saw 2 fish being caught in that time. I was bullshitting with some guys when I saw these two guys hook up 3 times with some really big bass and they didnt even know what they were doing. I walked past them and I was into a big fish on my 3rd cast. I was standing on a small rock in the water so i fell when it smashed my lure. I fought it for a bit and when it breached I saw it was around 35". Lost it right after that, but it was fun to just hook one. Ill be out tomorrow for sure. I was thinking of getting some bait, but I think ill give the lures some more time.
chrisw
Tied up some streamers last night using a lot of the feathers I took from the bird I shot yesterday, I'd say the smallies liked them, I must have hooked 25 smallmouth on my fly rod, battling 4 lb smallies on the fly is pretty awesome! TreeGuy
Couple trips mixed in here. Last night midnight cruise. On the water at 1030pm, off the water at 1 w/2 man limit. Last week's shakedown run. Target was a king, and we got A king. Not to mention 30 Lakers....Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

BizCT
Fished 730-1030. First time out in a while. Wind wasn’t too bad so rowing wasn’t bad. Went 4/5 ok hits. Dad and I each got 1LM and 1 laker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Robhuntandfish
Didn't catch a lot but a nice afternoon on the lake. Caught a couple of too small eyes and some perch. Wind was squirrelly . East then south then east and before we left south west. But a nice day and a happy pup to get on the lake for first time this year.

chrisw
The Salmon River was good to me today, brought 7 steelhead and 3 bass to hand and never saw another angler. Robhuntandfish
Wow what a great day right there! No kidding ...mid may for steelies is so late. But same on lake with walleyes, they are just finishing spawn out. Sure is a late start this year.
TreeGuy
THE best fishing trip I've ever had. Wasn't about the size or quantity of fish, or the weather, or that the boat ran good (cause that was all against us). It was the fact that I was able to get my son on his first king salmon. We ended up 6/8. All on video. My son did awesome. Had to use two hands to crank after awhile but he absolutely loved it. I'm one proud dad. Robhuntandfish
Good day on Oneida. Caught 9 walleyes culled to the 3 best. Biggest was 20 ". Filleted and frozen! Made the right call today to fish instead of chase turkeys.

They are still hanging toward the creek mouths from spawning cause it was such a late year. Got these in 24-28 feet of water off the mouth of the canal. Water is still real cold. Could barely tell when they bit , the line just got heavy. Saw some guys out there fishing jigs or sonars and didn't see them get anything. You can then hold the worm at depth you want
