It was the R93 that had the issue, and the R8 isnt anywhere near 8 grand. Unless you are talking about their "professional hunter" or one of the other super high end damn near custom models. You can get into one for around $3500 new

Still more money then it is worth to me Take it down to about 12 /1500 and I would consider buying one :)

Take it down to under $1000 I would consider that the best for the money .

straight pull action is a great  idea but not at those prices .

I had a Browning Safari 30-06 I sold a couple years ago.  IIRC it was from the early 60's, pre salt wood and it was a really cool gun.

Lefty?

There was a Browning guy by me who had a barrel action on his wall that came from salt stock; holy crap it was a mess below wood line.

If I wanted one and that was the "going" price, absolutely.

Actually I think the cheapest one   I can find online is $6500

You still go that high .

I think I rather get a Weatherby or Browning and spend less and have a gun just as good probably.

A corvette and a Cruz will both pick up groceries.
Which would you prefer to drive, if you could afford it?
We shot skeet all the time. I see somebody breaking out a high dollar shotgun I tell them they better be able to shoot cause if they can't they fixing to hear about it. I did a round of sporting clays with my son's 1950 model 12 16 gauge. Outshot 3 2000 plus dollar over and unders. At the end of the day if you can shoot you can shoot anything and if you can't no amount of money will fix it. But your right i like the nice ones. I shoot weatherbys and brownings most of the time.
