Nope! It's not a scary black gun everyone hates

Haven't you heard.....It's not the scary black guns....it is ALL guns that everyone hates and they are doing their best to get them outlawed.

Betting with slugs this would even be a solid home defense weapon.

The only thing the fiancée asked was two questions, 1) is the ammo easy to get | 2) how bad is the recoil on a .410?

Ammo is easy to get, not much recoil to a .410 at all. Sounds like a green light to me! Now to come up with the $1000 to get the gun, a decent red dot, and lots of ammo! I'll post a review in a few years after the roof's paid off.

I know ZERO about ARs.  But can the barrel be shortened?

I think it's pretty cool for sure and am a shotgun guy!

I am not sure about "cutting" the barrel. I would see no need to at only 18.5" from the offset, it's not a rifle, and 18" for a turkey shotgun seems to be one of the top lengths, so as I said, I would not make it any shorter. I am not going to guess though on if it can be done, I would call the manufacturer.

Also, I want to address the term "AR" in what is the modern day lingo. These days AR seems to mean "Assault Rifle". But the real meaning of AR stems from a specific company. Armalite. AR stems from the company and that it was a rifle. Armalite Rifle. AR. Get it? ( At least that's the history I find about using the AR as slang for sporting rifles. )

This is a "Sporting Shotgun".

Well whatever it is called I wouldn't care if it's in my gun safe....lol.   but I would like the look of it better with a shorter barrel.  I know nothing about the legality of "sporting rifles" then either.

There is few 12 gauge setup s I like that would love to see in 410.

My post wasn't aimed at you Rob. Just frustration from the left on what constitutes an AR.

The big issue I would see with a shorter barrel ( looks aside ) would be functionality. "The good ole boys who carry sawed off shotguns" don't get much range from a 12. Making the barrel shorter on a .410 would really restrict range and scatter the pattern a lot.
