Who’s heading out with their bow?

I’m looking forward to finally being able to turkey hunt with my bow after 2 springs recovering from shoulder surgeries. I can’t wait!

Shooting a turkey with a bow with no blind is by far the most difficult turkey hunting I have found and by far the most fun way to hunt them that I have found.

Who else is toting their bows this year?

Good Lord I wish you all the luck.  I've hunted turkey since the 80's in NY. I've killed many with the shotgun, and only a a couple with the bow during the fall deer season.

I know I can fill both my tags and a couple youth/first timers with the shotgun. I usually only take one, and let others take a few more in my area.  However, my main hunting area will be changing hands this summer.

I'm regretting not pursuing them with the bow, but don't regret allowing many others to get the turkey hunting bug.

If I had to forgo getting a spring tom with the bow, to allow others to experience the of hunting and ultimately harvesting a tom, I'm fine with that.

If I was 25 yrs younger, that opinion might change slightly.  Lol

Oh it’s a challenge for sure! Took me 3 seasons to finally get one with the bow with no blind running and gunning. I have killed about a dozen spring birds with the bow now I have learned a lot and there is definitely some tricks I have learned along the way.

The pucker factor of having birds close and then having to draw is exhilarating for sure!
