trad shooting spilt finger or 3 under

I tried going to 3 fingers under and it sure made better groups of arrows shot. But I do not seem to feel that I get the same ancor each time. anyone else feel that way ? I also still after about 40 years of shooting are poor at best with trad bow, but put my compound in my hand and I have no problem shooting 3D or hunting.

I used to use the split finger method untill someone told me to try three under.  Like you said I achieved way better groups and never went back.  If you aren't hitting the same anchor point I would concentrate on that part of your shooting for a week or two.  Don't worry about your groups when doing this practice just concentrate on that anchor point.  After you do this the repetition will probably take ove and your anchor point well natuarlly be there when you are shooting.

always shot split finger... I shoot pretty well so I leave well enough alone... but I have friends that swear by the 3 under method... either way... practice makes perfect.

When finger shooting, I use the split finger style. No particular reason .... That's just the way I was taught and have never had a reason to change.

Well I am back to spilt finger. JUst seems natural for me. I do not get as good groups, but if just stump shooting I seem to come close to hitting whatever I am shooting at if under 25 yards...

When it comes down to it you have to use what feels comfortable to you.  If you feel confident you will shoot better.

Hum compound shooter for 23 years, 19 or 20 I shot fingers ,split.

Then i got a new bow and one of them new release things and all.

Me too Larry....heck of a thing to get use to...hhhmmm so many jk's to put in here but I'm more polite than that....any how had to get over premature trigger syndrome with the mechanical release...but as in all things ...practice did the trick ;D

I always shot with fingers.Bought a new bow and use a release now and love it.
