Was out early to beat the heat.
Found 2 sulphur shelf, a nice heap of prime chanterelles and a mess of bi-color boletes. The chickens were old but I was able to get some good meat off one

Nope that's a white spored chicken.

I agree with Elmo.  Doesn't look like more than a few bucks.  $73 in singles would be way thicker.  I think if I were to pose my wad of cash for a picture, I'd try to show at least a couple of Benjamin's up on top.  Even if I had to borrow them from someone just for the picture.  LOL

Found a whole MESS of these down a whole hillside I hunt yesterday. Most were pst prime but there were tons hustbstrting to come up. After this rain I’ll be going back.

Now we're talkin! Nice haul.
With chants, if I plan on using them relatively soon I will just clean them and freeze them fresh.
For more long term storage I rough chop and give them a quick saute' with a little onion & garlic. This helps preserve the taste and texture.
I did dehydrate some this year which I've read might make them a bit chewy upon rehydration, we'll see.

I did the sautéed lightly vacuum and froze, dehydrated some for soups. My friends got 110 lbs today. Might go out tomorrow. Local business paying $15-$20 a pound.
