That also why few people smiled in old pics. There's a pic in my family where everyone has this serious look on their face but for the one guy in the middle who sports a big smile. I asked my grandfather who he was and he said, "that's your great great uncle, Nikoli. We were at his funeral." Apparently, that was a thing back then. It appears to be but I never seen it. Maybe he traded or sold it for his Win or Marlin. He said he shot this rabbit on his way to the mill. Here he is a year later at 16 in the Navy.
