Lawdwaz
While doing some scouting Saturday, I spotted a couple big oaks that came down in the past couple months. They are nice and straight could be good for lumber, a bit small but who knows. A friend in the area just got a sawmill so maybe he'll want to saw them into boards. If not I'm JUST the right guy to cut them up...........I'll buck and split them and the same guy will come for them. If I do cut them for firewood I should wait till after deer season but I'll be chomping at the bit to get after them! Plenty of dead & dying ash on the radar too for this winter................... Jeremy K
You're excited to cut and haul that out of the woods and split it for firewood ? I think you should sleep on it.
Nomad
Ash you say , I had 40 of them in my yard , down to 30 .Having a few more taken down, freind is taking trunk wood to,burn ( 60 footers ) Been treating the rest, but that gets pricey , so I bought stuff and been doing it myself .

Robhuntandfish
unless theres a Hooters behind that tree and you cant get to it without cutting it down, then I cant see the excitement in this pic! lol. never fear some hard work, but never looked forward to splitting wood or digging ditches....
